INTERNAL INVESTIGATION
When an organisation becomes aware of irregularities as a result of whistleblowing by an employee, competitor or contractor, it should decide to conduct an internal investigation.

The purpose of such investigations shall be, inter alia, to establish whether irregularities have actually occurred and to prevent their recurrence. Conducting an internal investigation often results in recommendations to tighten existing procedures in the organization, change documentation or train employees.

We support our clients in conducting internal investigations.

In the course of internal investigations carried out by our clients' organisations, we take care of objectivity of the proceedings, their confidentiality, proper protection of evidence gathered in the course of the proceedings, protection of personal data which appears in the course of the proceedings, exercising the rights of persons who take part in the proceedings and – if appropriate – the engagement of specialists (e.g., experts in the so-called forensics) (i.e., companies who deal with computer forensics data search companies).

We prepare and help implement internal codes of conduct and compliance rules for our clients. Transparency of the organisation helps in catching irregularities and prevents them from occurring in the future.
